    Revelation 225 date of mfg

What years did Savage manufacture the Revelation 225's for Western Auto?
I recently purchased a Revelation (Western Auto) 225 in 30-30 made in Westfield, Mass. I know it is a Savage 340 and measured a 20" barrel length. I have discovered through old catalogs and sales fliers that the Savage 340's were fitted with 20" barrels from 1964-68. A serial number is located on the right side of the receiver 2664xx. I think I can make out a partial "SP" or maybe "8P" stamped on the barrel along with "29V" and "24V". I assume the "V" stamps are inspectors. It also has a circle "SP" on the bolt handle. I have similar circle "SP" on the barrel of my 1982 Savage 340 series E. I read somewhere that Western Auto had the Revelation 225's manufacured for them from 1962-64. Is this correct? I've been trying to narrow the date of manufacture by Savage.
I am aware of the lack of records and associated obscurity for these early firearms...just thought Savage lovers may provide me with some additional insight on the Revelation.
It IS a sweet shooter with a measured 4-1/2 lb trigger pull and cycles like warm butter...much better than my series E.
    Thanks in advance.

OK, no Revelation experts have chimed-in, so I'll attempt to deduce my own answer.
It has to be a 1964.
As I discovered earlier, the 20" barrels were only made from 1964-1968.
I read one one web page that Western Auto only contracted the Revelation 225's from 1962-1964. Savage 340C barrels were 18-1/2" in 1962 and 1963.
Therefore, if the above bits of information are indeed correct, 1964 would be the only year that Western Auto sold the 20" barrel version of the Savage 340.

I got one a couple of years ago, also with a 20 inch barrel. My serial number has an A prefix which I thought put it in the range of 1968 to 1972 manufacture date. I have a Skinner peep sight on it. As I get older, I like the idea of carrying a rifle under 7 pounds in the woods. Pretty deadly out to 100 yards.
