    1992 flat back 270


    gentlmen is there any gap between a barrel lug and the action ? gun started shooting off a bit and i think the nut is backing out? is that possible? i can get a piece of paper in it and i thought it fit flush thanks for any help

    While not common I guess it would be possible for the barrel nut to back off. Can you turn the barrel or action by hand? There is not any gap between the lug and barrel nut/receiver on any of mine.

    no cant turn it but there is a gap that i dont remember being there

    Check the nut for a crack, it will be in one of the grooves.

    Better get the gages out. Find out if the headspace has changed.
