Axis is a long action . But the trigger guard and magazine can make it short action . The removable trigger guard piece determines size if the magazine
And that will determine the size of caliber types you can use . Long or short action . A very unique way of using one action for both sizes

Seems easy to me. Short uses short mag well long uses long mag well. Both use same action . Axis is unique screw spacing on stock remains the same . If you order a stock you can pick the type of action long or short. Get the appropriate magazine . Done. All the pics on above thread are for 10 or 110 actions .axis is not the same only 1 type of action no variations . No measuring screw spacing axis is axis that is it.
