Savage Parts

I recently purchased one of the new Savage's with the H-S precision stock w/5r barrel and was wanting some factory parts for the gun. Called Savage and was told I would have to get a Gunsmith to order them. These parts are a factory muzzle brake from a Model 10 FCP-K .308 and the Large knurled bolt handle from the Model 10 BA,, was told they had to be installed by a gunsmith(I thought you have to be kidding me!!!).Doed anyone have a suggestion how I can(who,where) get these parts, Thanks..

It's called risk management and liability. I would probably ask a local gunsmith to order the parts for me.

The handle is easy. Brownells, MidwayUSA, or (my recommendation) SSS. I would ask SSS about the brake. If you should be able to get any FFL to place an order from Savage for you. Tim
