Question on Bass Pro Shop 110's

Looking at one of the ones on sale for a bbl. swap. These come with a 4 Rd DBM. My question is will one of the 10 Rd. DBM Mags. work with rifle ??

Yes it will work. And why dismiss the barrel?

I agree, make sure you shoot it as it is before you swap the barrel. after about 60 rounds mine went from a 7/8 moa gun to just above a half. They really are a nice rifle as they come.

Did you do anything special as far as break-in?

nope, just rounds down range. I think i cleaned it before i shot it, but after that i was looking to reach copper equilibrium before i worked up a load. I just happened to get a smoking deal on a 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor, so it never saw more than 200 rounds of all factory ammo. It seemed to like the 143 Precision Hunter and Winchester match 140 the best, i sold it to my brother-in-law because it shot so good, that i wanted it to go to a good home. After my first couple rifles that i did the one shot- clean for 5 rounds then 5 shots-clean for another 20 and they never shot any better than the ones that i just cleaned when i first got them and then just put rounds down range till accuracy dropped off. I have a bunch of really good shooting guns, and don't do break-in anymore.

I have one of these in 223 Remington although I recently reconfigured it into a BVSS stock and sold the Accustock. Once broken in, it has consistently shot 1/2" - 3/4" groups at 100 yds with hand loads and quality factory loads. Occasionally, it will shoot even better when I do my part.

Agreed with what the others have said. My 308 hog hunter shoots so well I left the barrel alone.

Will the 10 Rd. Mag. fit ? "Yes", THANK YOU.
WHY ? My purpose is to build a 6 Dasher or 6 GT for my grand daughter to "clang steel" at 5,6,7 & 8 hundred yds. Using a Bbl. that doesn't require 10+ Hr.'s of cleaning to get clean, like our 110 T OME 6 CM bbl.does

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

For those ranges I will be going with a 6BRA, but I am not competing either. Dasher seems to be the current favorite. Any of the cartridges mentioned will do.

All depends on if you want the extra velocity or not.
