    6 GT Pre fit ?

Does anyone know of any barrel maker besides Shilen offering a pre fit barrel chambered for the 6 GT ??

NOT being a CM kool-aid drinker so far I've found three barrel makers that offer pre-fits's, two only offer it in barrels contoured to the Savage varmint profile.

    Greg at bugholes.com has a 6gt reamer, w/ a .273nk .120fb
He can do a prefit in bartlein, krieger, Brux, proof, hawk hill....
All cut rifling barrels and run a little over $500
    He’s usually a 5 week wait.
I have 3 barrels from him and they are top notch.

Know nothing about them but Preferred Barrel Blanks list a 6gt on their site.

    Joe h,
Thanks, couldn't find a list of reamers on "Bugholes.com" site, but they do offer several different contours.
I'll see what Preferred Barrel has to offer tomorrow

Bugholes list of reamers. He needs to put them on his website. he’d probably get more buisness.
he has a Lot more reamers than what I thought he would.
He’s built me a 6x47lapua, 6dasher and 7saum. All of mine are on Bighorn actions...I’ve migrated over to them now. Try out a cut rifled barrel, you’ll like it. Especially in a 6GT, that looks like an accurate case.

True, but they don't feel the need to forward [e mail] a copy of the 6 GT's reamer, I made it simple, just the neck OD, the throat/free bore ID, and the free bore length the.
Note how "Bughole" lists two of the free.
This is probably pretty standard for most chamberings, except when it comes to the 308.

I'm guessing that since the 6GT is new, everyone offering a prefit will have the same reamer profile ??

If you are going to the trouble of using the 6 GT, Bugholes is the very least you should do. They carry all of the custom barrel makers, most in stock. An email and you will get consise information addressing the questions you ask. Do it. You will not regret it.

Trouble ? buy brass, use my BR bushing and BR seater dies, and staying with a accurstock pretty well stuck with the Savage Varmint Bbl. profile, or do some "whittling"

You missed the point. Bugholes is your place.
