MDT sells a 12-round short action AICS pattern magazine for the 6 BR. I have no experience with it.

I could have bet that a while back there was talk about changing Bbl's to a 6BRA , 6 Dasher or other short rounds, and a few made mention of using inserts ,??
I could be wrong, lucky I live with 2 English Bulldogs , so I don't get corrected very often

I feed a 6br with a regular 308 mag- and I have no issues, but that is on a 700 action. It is also using the 107smk- so that makes for a longer bullet. If I was shooting 80 grain bullets I would use the MDT mags, even though they are very pricey.

If you do a youtube search for 6br mag fix it will bring up reviews of the mag inserts. Some work good and some have some binding problems.

You may know, but there is also a stainless Savage factory magazine for the 6 BR. I bought one when I built my 6 BR. It holds 3. Most magazine like .308 will hold and feed 2 rounds. Any more and they get bound up in the wider magazines. Single feeding is quite easy due to it being a stubby round.

A SSS single shot loading ramp would solve your issue if you don't need your rig to be a repeater. I have several, they work well, and are easy to install or remove.
