MDT chassis that comes from the factory on the 10 BA Stealth. I like it and don't have any issues with the grip configuration. It's the only chassis I have experience with so I don't know any better.

Seems to me that any item that fits into/onto something would be very close by nature IE... the area where my arm and my body meet is too close.

Possibly you mean the length of the butt stock is too short and is to compact when my hand is on the grip?
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Which grip are you using ?? On my RRA's I have been
using the fat Ergo tactical. When I built my Savage
on the MDT HS3, I used the same grip, since I was
used to them......If you feel the butt stock is too
short as I do, I add on a one inch spacer at the front.
Black Rifle Works usually have them in stock.

Which MDT ?? The HS3's (no longer sold) Have plenty of room
in the hand grip area, and I have big hands. They also use the
standard AR stock system leaving more room. If the stock is
fixed, space the butt plate out a full 2" and move in a little at a
time until it feels right for you, your cheek, and your hand. Once
that's done, check the position of your scope.....Also, I may add
is, the grip angle. I do prefer a much straighter angle which moves
my hand down giving me a straight pull on the trigger.

Have you thought of a vertical grip?
