    12 fv Wrong recoil lug

    I bought a .223 12fv at bass pro earlier this month. I didnt notice it when i was in the store, but when i got home i found the recoil lug to appear offset. Long story short i pulled it apart and found what seems to measure out to be a large shank lug on the small shank barrel. Luckily i had an old lug laying around so i replaced it myself. Just a heads up and something to check out before you take a new rifle home.

    Any chance it was the recoil lug for an AccuStock?

    Such as in post #6;

    It looks like a standard recoil lug. Just has a bigger hole. I looked up the dimensions on a large shank barrel and im pretty sure thats what it is.
