You'll probably have to remove Part# 39 the operating handle collar, it's screws on.
I am having a little difficulty removing the forearm from my Savage 30 Model C 20 gauge. I've YouTube'd & Google'd about as far as I can and haven't been able to quite figure out the final dissasembly method on this forearm (I do not have original manual and am aware there are reprints available online - but haven't went that route yet). Thought I would check in here as I am sure there are several members of this forum with much more knowledge than I on these old pump guns. Reasoning behind removing is due to refinishing the stock. Bring some new life back to this old gun that I haven't shot for many years. Appreciate the help. Thanks!
