Need 32-30 Clip Retainer Spring

I recently got a replacement clip for my 23C, and it works great, but does not stay in very well due to what looks to be a defective retainer spring. The replacement part on Numrich's website looks totally different from the one that is currently in the gun. It would not surprise me if the one in the gun isn't original. The question I have is this. Does the one on the following link look like the one found in your 23C?

Tim, that is the correct spring for the early guns that took the straight 'cheese grater' magazines, serial numbers under 204,048. I've made replacements for the 22's, which are the same design but smaller, from scrap metal banding, not as strong a spring action as the originals but have worked OK.
