    Model 111,.30-06 trigger...

I have a Model 111 with a non-accutrigger and I'm trying to lighten the trigger pull weight. I have managed to get the pull weight down to about 3 1/2-4 lbs by screw adjustment. Can it be lightened further(I'd like 2-2 1/2 lbs) or do I or can I replace it with an aftermarket trigger...if so,any recommendatons?? Thanking you in advance for your advice...respectfully....gpoldblue

The old three screw trigger, which I assume is what you have, can be a little lighter by changing that straight wire with a smaller dia. I forget what dia. Also, great triggers are made by SharpShooterSupply, an advertiser here, Timney, Jard, RifleBasics for a better trigger pull. For hunting I dont like anything less than a 3 lb trigger anyway. Cold fingers on a light trigger can be a problem.
