    McGowen Savage magnum contour

im putting together a build on a 116 using a Bell and Carlson sporter style stock. Getting ready to order a barrel from McGowen and im thinking i want to go with the McGowen Savage magnum contour.

Anyone have any experience with this barrel contour and or with the said B&C stock? any help would be greatly appreciated.

kind of stuck on the contour thing i dont really want to have to open up the stock and i dont really want a pencil barrel ether. and i have never owned a McGowen
the build is mainly for hunting lighter but not too light caliber, is 280AI or 6.5-284 norma still kicking that one around and 25" long

I love that contour. It is the bomb with a cut rifled barrel
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
