I just joined the Savage world. I bought a 12 FT/R to shoot F Class at the local club. I got a taste of F Class with my Remington 700 Varmint in .308. I didn't take long to learn that a heavier rifle in a lighter cartridge would be easier to tolerate for a 60+ round match. Enter the 12 FT/R. I'll be doing load development between now and March when the matches get rolling again. It sure seems like Savage has a corner on the market for production rifles. Any other suitable rifle is a custom proposition.
