    Savage 110 with Duramaxx Stock

I got lucky for my latest build. Picked up a used 110 in 25-06. Serial number dates it as a 2003 manufacture. Previous owner had dropped it into a Duramaxx stock. I hated when production stopped as they were a well made stock for less than $100. I'd love to see them made again but I know that will never happen. That 25-06 is now a 6.5 Creedmoor. Barrel is a McGowan stainless 26". I only had a bit of work to open up the barrel channel to accept the barrel. The Creedmoor rounds feed smoothly from the magazine. I ended up getting the 110 for $175 OTD.

Good snag! I did the same and put a heavy barrel 6.5CM on an older flat back long action. I was expecting to have to use a single shot adapter but to my surprise the 6.5CM's feed fine in mine also....go figure!

Yeah, I was surprised at how smoothly the rounds feed from the 25-06 length mag. I'd love to do a 458 SOCOM build but hesitate due to the feed problems from 308 type mags. I have a 223 heavy barrel but it shoots so well I don't want to sacrifice it for the SOCOM build.
