    New Barrel on Mod.16

I hope that you guys far more knowledgeable than I can help me with this project. I have a mod 16 in 270wsm that I would like to convert to 308. What will be involved in this project other than the barrel? Bolt face, magazine etc. Please help enlighten me.

This rifle has been good to me in the deer woods and has sentimental value so I would like to convert. I am just not crazy about the price of ammo for 270 wsm. It would also look a lot better with a new barrel and the action blasted.

Bolt face swap if you need an affordable option to shoot.

The 6.5 PRC and the Ruger RSM cartridges or missing in that list. The bolt face issue can be fixed but the Large diameter threads is the issue. Put that riffle in the box and build something from scratch or buy a rifle. your frustration level will be much lower.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
