    Bell & Carlson M40 stock

Anyone have it? How do you like the fit and finish?

    Couple more questions...
    1. Is it too heavy to hunt with?
    2. What size recoil lug does it take? The full size version on the regular Savage 10, or does it take the smaller accustock-style recoil lugs?

    Thanks!

Not too heavy. In fact, it’s my favorite hunting stock, period. It will also accommodate large, aftermarket stocks no problem.

I think you meant barrels, not stocks.

I don't own the M40 but, with regard to Bell and Carlson stocks in general, I am very pleased with the fit, finish, and overall quality of my B&C Medalist stock. I suggest that you contact Bell and Carlson directly to determine if it will fit the Accustock recoil lug.

You’re absolutely right as well as recoil lugs.

I use to own a Remington with the m40. For what it is, they’re great. Just my 02cents.

My Model 11 is in a B&C M40. I believe it is meant to accommodate the full size lugs and not the AccuStock lugs.

Fit and finish is great. It is my second B&C stock and the quality on both has been excellent.

I also have a b&c medalist I like it a lot made a big diffence on my 12fv over the plastic stock. Helped tighten the groups up by eliminating all the flex.very solid stock .virtually drop in fit..
