    Red face Pennsylvania Savage nut

I'm really not new here ( I posted several times in 2014 ). But I guess I'll mention a few things about myself.
I have always been a Savage nut - even though I got a lot of ribbing from others about "cheap" guns. They have no idea what they are missing, Savage makes a great looking, accurate and dependable rifle. My first Savage is a 99 in 250-3000 ( 250 Savage ), over the years I bought a lot more. Five kids each got a model 72 .22, 2 more kids didn't ( can't afford them anymore ) so 1 got a 99 in .308. I have a 110 in .250 and a contender 14" in .250, my wife has a 14 in .250. She also has an old .22 - I think its a model 89 and a new Mark 2. There are a few others sitting around too - but they .250 Savage is by far my favorite calibre. I haven't hunted in 5-6 or more years, I just like to shoot target, oil the metal and polish the stocks .
I spent 16 years in our local jail ( as a Corrections Officer ) Retired from there and did some maintenance work for the local Omni hotel. I now do a lot of wood turning and sell them at a flea market.
I have a small shooting range on 12 acres with 25, 50, 75 and 93 yard targets ( 93 - ran out of room ). The reason for all the short ranges is I shot .22 ( Contender ) Silhouette. I had a .308 Savage Silhouette, palm swell, bull barrel with a 1 in 11 twist. WOW what a rifle, with 168 gr bullets it shot into 1 hole. My son has it now, very nice rifle.
    Anyway, that's me .

Your not all that far from Ridgeway, where they do a lot of silhouette including rim fire.

I shot in Bellwood and Carlisle, this was in the late 80's - early 90's I think. Still have the Contender ( one time I had 3 ) but don't bother
anymore. I guess the novelty wore off.
