    Axis .308 magazine broke

have an Axis .308 problem: the magazine, the rear metal clip, well it's actually pot metal, clip broke off....before this even happened the magazine would fall out of the receiver intermittently. Plus the weak spring, magazine has never fed correctly, need to hit the magazine bottom to jar the next bullet up a bit so the bolt catches it. but now with the rear clip broken, question is should I just get a new magazine? I've only got a couple boxes thru this rifle...are there good aftermarket mags for this rifle? I've seen the "fix" by epoxying a piece of copper strapping to the front of the magazine but that's not the clip that broke.

When mine broke I roughed up the metal a bit and built up a rear lug using JB Weld. Shaped with some files and it works better than original. It will still drop out of the stock when fired every now and then (once every 50 rounds or so). It is the weak spot on the Axis, IMHO.
