Please Use Thread Prefix When Applicable

I have added several Thread Prefix options to this board that are specific to Savage rimfire model series (i.e. A17/A22, B17/B22, B-Mag, etc). When creating a new thread, we encourage you to use the appropriate prefix (when applicable) for the model of rimfire rifle your discussion or question pertains to. In other words, if you're starting a new thread to ask a question about your new 93R17 BVSS you should select the Mark I/II/93R prefix.

Using these prefixs accomplishes three key things:

    1. Everyone will know the model line of firearm being discussed in that thread whether the OP remembers to mention it in the title or post or not.

    2. The Prefix's make it easier to quickly scan the thread list to find posts relevant to the model line your are interested in.

    3. Those looking for information specific to their type of rifle can do an Advanced Search within the board and search by Thread Prefix and only see threads that pertain to that design.

    Using Thread Prefix's:

Adding a thread prefix is as simple as selecting the appropriate one from the drop-down menu.

When you click the "Start a New Thread" button in one of the classified boards and the editor page comes up, you will see there is now a Thread Prefix drop-down menu located just above where you would put in the post title. Yes, it's that simple!

Adding a Thread Prefix with TapaTalk

To add a thread prefix in TapaTalk:

    1. Click the orange New Thread circle the same as you normally would to start a new thread.
    2. Enter your thread title and type in your question or whatnot as normal.
    3. When you're ready to submit your new thread, click "Create" in the upper right corner.
    4. Select the proper thread prefix (if applicable) from the list displayed. If none of those apply to your post, simply select No Prefix (you may have to scroll to see it at the bottom of the list).

    That's it!

Note that a list of prefix's will only show up if/when there is a list of prefixes assigned to that board.
