    Cool Savage 12 rebuild help

So, I broke down and ordered a chassis. I went with the MDT ESS XL and their buttstock....Brownell’s was trying to give it away!

so, then I’m thinking....this thing needs a proper barrel.

i want a cut rifled 4 groove, 1:9 twist, 300wsm, custom throat prefit....but that seems unavailable, am I missing something?

So, now I’m looking at a Shilen 4 groove ratchet from Northland or a McGowan or a PAC-Nor....I feel like Shilen and PAC-Nor are winning in my mind.

So, who am I leaving out?

Also, to shoot bugholes, should this action be tru’d? By who?

    thanks

CBI barrels have worked well for me.

Bartlein or Krieger for single point cut rifling. There are some great barrels that are button rifled. Custom throat is a custom barrel. Bugholes.com
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
