SAVAGE AXIS ii in 22-250 is a shooter!

Picked up a axis ii in 22-250 from wally world and started reloading 40 grain vmax for it in front of 4064 powder. What an amazingly accurate rifle right out of the box....hard to believe really. Probably one of the most accurate varmint rifles I have ever shot. It has a Burris Mtac scope and is a joy to shoot.

That’s why I’ve come to enjoy Savage rifles. Everyone I’ve seen has been inherently accurate.

Glad you got a good one. I picked one up in 243 from Academy Sports and it's been nothing but a PIA. Accuracy has gone south. Weaver scope just went belly up, elevation adjustment quit working. A work in progress.
