The Safe-Trigger doesn’t ”supposedly” do anything! It STOPS any discharge out rite, that is not a purposeful action of pulling the trigger! What do you mean by “factory trigger poundage”? The weight has nothing to do with it. This phenomenon you have read about(yes, I’ve read most of these over the years!) has to do with the amount of of spring pre-tension on the trigger return. Set to light and a hard “jolt, bump, slam”, whatever... can cause the sear to fall.
Have you pulled the action from the stock and taken a look yet?
