Hi all,

I've been planning to get a Savage centerfire rifle for about a year, and today finally picked up my 10T-SR in 6.5 with a few different ammo types to get started.

I've got a Primary Arms FFP 4-14x44 scope in an AR mount for the moment, I'm going to try using a cheek pad to try and avoid buying rings until I know what chassis I'm going to be using.

I used to shoot on competitive unit-level rifle teams when I was in the army, but don't have much experience with anything except the M24, so I'm reading a lot of the threads here and filling in the gaps in my knowledge.

I'm bringing it to the range tomorrow, going to fire a few hundred rounds to get a good feel for it over the next week or so, and then see if I need to do any upgrades or just get myself to a rifle course.

I'll post some groups if they're not embarrassing, hoping that the equipment can mask my rusty skills somewhat.
