    My Dummy Question

Okay, I have a question and I know you can help me. I have a Weather Warrior in .243 and I really like the new Savages. I'm selling a Remington 308 tomorrow and thought of getting a 308 Savage, but then got to thinking about switching barrels. Not sure how its done, but heard it could be done.

Can it, and if so, what do I need to do?

Poke around this site a little more and you will quickly learn everything there is to know about switching barrels.
Not much to it, only mandatory tool needed is the barrel wrench. Other tools needed would be the go-gauge (or sized brass/read up on this) a barrel vice or action wrench, again depends on how you want to go about it, I actually used a large crescent wrench.
So in a nut shell you need 3 things
    1 Barrel nut wrench
    2.a gauge to set head-space
3.something to hold the barrel or action from spinning.
    Thats it.

Thanks. Might save myself a little bit of money by not spending it on another gun

The only other thing you will need to be aware of is that the WSM barrels are large shank. If you don't plan on owning a WSM in the future then don't worry about it.

No you won't it's addictive. Ask me how I know.
While doing other things I often wish I were hunting.
While hunting I seldom, if ever, wish I were doing anything else
