Magpul makes a 5 round AC style magazine.
Can I get 3 or 5 round clips for the new Savage 110 Scout Rifle in .308 caliber? The 2019 Savage Catalogue shows a 10 round clip on the 110 Scout Rifle, which I think is unnecessary and awkward on a rifle that I will primarily be using to hunt whitetail.
Magpul makes a 5 round AC style magazine.
Here's a comparison of the Magpul 5rd and 10rd magazines in a 110 Tactical that uses the same bottom metal. The 5rd still sticks down some, but not nearly as bad as the 10rd.
But as you know....everybody these days just HAS TO HAVE a 10rd mag for their bolt gun cuz that's what all the cool kids are doing so that's what the manufacturers are offering.

I bought one of these for my 110 Scout as well. I plan to use it for hunting. Happy with the magazine so far (not the iron sights though). LOL.
I can't see the image, but yes, even the 5 round Magpul mag sticks down just slightly below the trigger guard. I think I'll be okay with it for hunting. The 10 round is just too large for any practical hunting/stalking purposes.
First thing I did with my Ruger .308 Scout was to retire the 10-round and buy one each 3- and 5-round mags. Have not used anything but the 32-round since.
My apologies, but just as nails on a chalkboard gives that horrid sensation, I am among those who gets a similar cringe when people use the word “CLIP”!
