    Greetings from Chattanooga

Greetings from Chattanooga! I'm a new member, former Marine, retired.

Today I bought my first target rifle, a used Model 112 in .223 (long action) for $400, in excellent condition, showing little signs of use. From online research it appears to be a BVSS-S. It has a heavy, fluted, 26" SS barrel, black composite stock, standard trigger, two swivel mounts in front, one in rear. It's a single shot, having no internal magazine. The receiver is blued, bolt & handle are SS. Serial # is F353xxx.

I can't find the barrel twist rate or much about the rifle on line. There is, however, an abundance of info on the Model 12 in similar configuration.

Would appreciate links to reviews and other technical information, including its value.

    Thanks and Semper Fi!

Welcome from your neighbor to the south. Most likely, the twist is 1 in 9". I built my son a 223 using a 26" factory stainless flutes varmint barrel with 9" twist and it loves 75 grain bullets.

Welcome, Sounds like you have one of the old flatback models made before the first "model numbers" switch that denoted long actions with three digits and short actions with two digits.
