    Action screws for 112?

Anyone know where to buy the number 8? screws to put a scope base on the 112? I’ve combed over the savage website several times and can’t find anything available. Have to go aftermarket?

When I bought my base, the #8 screws were available from the rail manufacturer. They need to match the taper cut into the base, so the manufacturer is the best option.

What base are you using? The base should come with its own screws.

It’s a weaver base, but came with #6 screws. I’ll call them and see if they can help.

You will need to open up & inlet the base holes as well. Might be easier to pick up the correct base. Be a good chance to switch to Picatinny.

It is a Picatinny base, just made by weaver. Holes look to be big enough for 8 screws, just came with 6... may just have been mispackaged. We’ll see how it shakes out

Very cool! Yes, I agree. It sounds like it should have come with 8-40’s and they grabbed 6-48’s instead, as they are standard on the majority. Awesome CS. Really is good to hear success stories in manufacturer’s customer service.

Just make sure the screws are not too long.
