I have a model 12 lrp and bought a bolt lift kit for it off a guy on snipers hide for a model 10. The bolt assemble screw on my model 12 has a small cylinder shaped nub on the assembly screw. Does the model 10 have the nub on it. Reason I ask is this nub is what contacts the ballbearing. Does the model 10 have the nub?

Models 10 & 12 use the exact same bolt. As well as all the others. Save for a few that use the Axis style bolt....which doesn’t apply. Of the classic model’s bolts, they can use the same lift kit. There are a few different lift kits. But I still like the DIY kit.
There are a couple things, in addition to the lift kit that really makes the whole thing work very well. Smoothing/polishing the cocking pin ramp, is imho, a necessity. I also lighten firing pin spring. But would not rec. unless you know exactly what you are doing, as you risk light primer strikes. I also use a Silicone Nitride, ceramic ball bearing in mine. But my bolt is only polished, and does not use the nub. My bolt lifts with one finger after trigger release. SUPER easy! Love it.
Chief, I think you are describing the cocking indicator that goes through the center of the screw. If this is the case, the lift kit will not work.

Ahh, Rob has a point chief...I was thinking you were referring to the “nub” on some lift kit BAS that is actually an adjustment. But now I’m thinking you have the other style bolt, (as Rob said). Can you post a picture of what you have?

Yeah, your fine chief. That is a standard BAS. And yes, that little “nub” is a simple machining flaw. It’s common for sizing screws. The screw is spun while a Tungsten Carbide bit is introduced into the threads, cutting it flush via radial material removal. Any bolt lift will work on yours just fine.Originally Posted by Chief80
