Older savage long action tried with PTG hand tools. B&C medalist. MGM prefit X-Caliber 8T, 3 groove barrel at 18”. Group in the photo is the 9 shots displayed in the chrono. Load is a 78gr Barnes TSX over 45.5grs of Norma MRP (warm load!), CCI #41primer in 6mm CM Starline brass necked down. Built it to be a good plot laser beam.

Am building one myself on a 10FP action, B&C Medalist, X-Caliber 26" varmint profile 8T. Also necked down 6CM brass (Nosler). All that's left is barrel which should be here late this month or early next, depends on cryo treatment.
Look forward to seeing more reports.
Heck yah! You will not be disappointed in the X-Caliber barrel. This is my fourth an they all hammer.

how are these on barrels? I have heard 6mm CM are burners.. just wondering
I assume terrible, It’s grossly overbore. Now that load dev is done, I’ve got years of life in it.
