Looking for a good recoil pad

Greetings, I have an Axis chambered in .270 win and I want to get a recoil pad for the buttstock to make the rifle even more enjoyable to shoot. I found some on the interwebs but I don't know which ones would be good or what size I should get it.

The stock pad that came on my axis seemed very soft in comparison to what i'm used to(stock Boyd's pads). I know that Limbsaver is probably one of the most highly regarded manufacturers of recoil pads tho. Best of luck

I went the other way and got a PAST recoil pad for my shoulder. Strap it on under my shirt/jacket and even heavier guns don't bite. It also means I can shoot my hawken style muzzle loader with the wicked brass butt plate.

I bought a pad at BassPro shop, since they had great choice to pick from, I brought my rifle, had it locked at the door, and I took all I could find upstairs to there range, and asked to enter, bring eye wear head sets, and tried them all what would be comfortable for additional recoil.
I choose the one in the picture below, for $19.99, and it did the trick with my 270 Win, shoulder never felt better after shooting.
Now after I bought it, and trimmed it to fit the stock, perfect, but found out at the range with 80 to 90 degree weather, the pad wanted to move, and shift when it got warm, so I used some clear RTV to bond it to the stock, problem solved.
So if you decide, I hope this information kelp!

I personally like the Pachmeyer Decelerator. They work and look really well.
