    .300 whisper again

I was reading the recent post on 300 whisper started by appleseed.
Altair & some of you other guys that have built a 300 whisper on a Savage platform have you had any feeding problems from your magazine. I herd that they where a pain to get to feed from a mag in a bolt gun fact or fiction. I am thinking about this as my next project after I completed my 243ai.

Mine would feed fine from a 223 stag. feed blind mag. Wouldn't eject worth a hoot though (would just drop empty back on top of other rounds).

Mine would eject fine, but would not feed if I put more than 2 rounds in the mag. I took out the crap Savage leaf spring and replaced it with a spring that I cut down from an AR15 20 round mag. It is much stiffer, and doesn't let the rounds cant as much. I can now fill the mag and feed and eject about 90%. Occasionally 2 rounds will pop up, but this is due to the super stiff spring, and I could probably solve the problem by clipping just a bit more off the spring, but have not tinkered with it since I installed it.
