    New 110 6.5 Creedmoor Tactical

Ok not my first Savage now that’s out of the way and no I’m not a newbie so let’s begin my new 6.5 Creedmoor will not hold a group for anything this is at 100 yards flat range.Savage 110 tactical 6.5 Creedmoor ,24 inch barrel,Vortex crossfire II,Hornady 140 Match,Federal 140,Remington 140 same results.shooting front bag and rear bag.At times i can go hole for hole then it opens up one left one right one up one down I mean all over the place and yes i take three shots then wait till barrel cools down so its not a hot barrel.I switch over to my Ruger 6.5 Creedmoor and I’m hole in hole or at least cloverleafing it. So its not the ammo.Scope is not loose stock is not loose went through the usual suspects. So I’m looking to see if anyone else is having issues holding a group with the 6.5 110 tactical Savage.Have a Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor and it groups very good. Thanks any input would be appreciated.

    Is it new?
    Barrel break in correct?
Does it need 500 more rounds to be broken in?
Is the stock torqued correctly along with optics and hardware?
    Is that scope holding zero?

If the above suggestions don't solve the issue:
My buddy tried five or six brands/ bullet weight of ammo before he was happy with his 6.5 Bergera.
You might try some more ammo variants. Some rifles just like one.

I had shot 200+ rounds before my 6.5CM Tactical started "consistent" groups of 1" or less....if you have factory Accustock....torque front action screw to 35 in/lbs and rear screw to 30 in/lbs....Good Luck !!

Check barrel for free-float with a business card. Confirm clearance all the way to the breech.
Swap optic with one known to be good from another rifle.

Thank you for the input I just torqued everything on the rifle now I’m going for new scope rings.
