    Length of Barrel Thread in 5/8x24 FCP 10 SR


    Hi Guys

    Can someone measure the length of the barrel thread for a muzzle brake.

    Keep in mind a couple of general "rules" not specific to any rifle barrel...
    Length of tenon is brake-specific, though 5/8" brakes generally run .600-.625
    Any brake that is directional, and not able to be user-adjusted/timed: smith will need the brake in-hand to set back the shoulder so that the brake times correctly with required torque.

    Thank you for your answer, but in this big forum only one answer !

    The rifle will be blueed and the idea is to cut an barrel thread...
