Removing 110 BA Stealth Buffer tube

I am having a rough time removing the buffer tube from my 110 BA Stealth. I removed the set screw from behind the grip, but the nut will not loosen. Is this normal? Am I missing something?

I recently removed the buffer tube from 10 BA Stealth too. Had to heat the nut with my wife's hair dryer. I held the rifle and my son got mean with the castle nut. It took a lot of effort but it finally came off!

You could lay it down on its right side, position the castle nut wrench, then give it a very solid whack with a deadblow. I realize that the chassis is aluminum but the quick, hard force should break it free without damaging anything. The pistol grip being installed (lying flat connected to the chassis) helps to provide resistance so the entire thing doesn't rotate and just the nut.

You might be experiencing the joys of Loc-Tite.
Scootergisme's suggesting to use heat might be the answer.
