They are no more stronger or accurate than the other models.
Prices go up with right or left hand, finish, barrel types, and stocks. Other than that, you're dealing with the same animal.
Is the model 12 action inherently more accurate or stronger than the other model actions? There is a pretty hefty upcharge for the model 12 actions at all of the places I have looked, and I am trying to figure out why.

Model 12's are offered in several different styles. Which ones are you looking at?
RBRP repeater. I think this is the same action as the 12 VLP ?
The 12 vlp and model 16 actions are only about $75 or so difference than the other 10,11,12 actions, but that is mainly because they are stainless. The model 12's come with a lighter spring for the accu-trigger as well, but I dont think it changes the price.
The Stevens actions are alot less because they do not have an accu-trigger, and the finish is usually alot duller.
The complete firearm using these actions however, are also more money due to the barrels and stocks associated with that model.(a factory synthetic stock is worth $25, but a factory vlp stock is worth $200, so that alone is a big jump in price between models)

~Clint Eastwood
The Target action does cost more, but the VLP dosent have the target action.
