My name is Larry and I am a benchrest shooter. My 2 Savage guns are a BSEV in 22 long rife and a Stealth Evolution in 6.5 Creedmoor. I shoot some 22 Rimfire competitions but mostly shoot an Anschutz 54.30 for that. I reload 6.5, 45 ACP and 223.

I haven't developed a precision load yet. Just reloading at this stage to get used to the noise and recoil from a centerfire rifle. Big change after shooting rimfire for years. I like the Stealth. My goal is to get out to 1000 yards but my range only has 500 yards.
I'm just north of Jackson.
I'm pretty sure that my next purchase is going to be a Stealth. I have a 26" Shilen Select Match stainless steel, varmint countour, threaded muzzle in 260 Remington with a vld chamber sitting around waiting for a rifle. I was looking at an MDT LSS XL chassis to start a build and then it hit me. Why pay $499 (plus tax and shipping) for a bare chassis when I can buy a used Savage Stealth, an entire rifle, for a few hundred more??? The Stealth Drake chassis is very similar to the MDT LSS XL chassis (the forend of the Drake chassis looks a little shorter than the LSS XL chassis, but longer than the LSS). I'm on the hunt for one now!
