    Why? Asking for a friend.

I have never used Loctite on scope ring screws and I have never had any scope ring screws back out. If you want to use Loctite on your rings screws, use it.

I use it to safe guard from a screw loosening and blue won’t hurt if he need to take screw out

On the threads? or over over the screw when tight because I have done that before but not on threads
i would think on threads it would be very hard to get out?

On threads. Holds like red loctite but breaks loose like blue loctite.

I have never had screws back out. Do you torque them? I think If I had to use it I would use the purple 222

I have only used Blue(and red) Loc tite on screws in extreme service. My $.02

I have to think it's impossible to "hold like red but break loose like blue". Red loctite takes 500+ degrees to break its bond. I used to use blue but have moved the lighter purple 222. Just enough to ensure it does not move.

I used blue on my OEM scope rail screws the other day. It breaks free easily enough that I'll probably throw some on the ring screw threads as well.
