    Apache Trigger mod

For those who have, how much difference does it make and how involved is the install?

Well, I did a search and read thru every thread I could find about this mod. I guess the opinions haven't changed any. Mine is due in Friday.

    Thanks for all the info!!

Strangely not much interest in the rimfires around here anymore. Not sure why that is or what happened as our rimfire boards used to be as popular and active as the Savage board over at Rimfire Central. Their Savage board doesn't get much traffic these days either based on the last few times I've popped in over there to see what was going on.

I run an Apachee Kit in my old FVSR, and its pretty good for the money. Don’t set it too light or you may see the accutrigger lock up on occasion, at least I did. Install wasn’t too bad by myself, but a helping hand would have been nice.

Got the Apachee in and installed. Hardest part of the install is inserting the new pins.
Got my trigger set to 10ozs. All safeties work and it passes all bump and hammer tests.

As stated above, below 10ozs, mine would lock up about 1 out of 10 cycles because the sear would slip locking up the accu-trigger. Below 8ozs, the sear would not hold at all and would lock up every cycle. So for my rifle, 10ozs is the bottom limit with the accu-trigger.

A 10 Oz trigger is nothing to sneeze at.

Sorry if it's a bad joke but I tickled myself, so had to.

If you sneeze at a 10oz trigger, it will probably go off.

If a flatulent fly farts on the trigger, it will go off.
