    Savage Axis Rescue Rifle

I enjoy shopping in pawnshops and taking in the young ladies that work at them and buying guns from them. I found this little Savage on sale with the scope mounted all funky. Can’t wait to put one of my better scopes and see how this puppy shoots. Only other Savage bolt action I have is a 340E in 223 that is currently loaned out.

Looks like someone had a set of see thru mounts to use with open sights and used them on this rifle. I had some one time on a Remington pump 270, kinda awkward to shoot so took them off.

The scope and rings are already gone. I’m gonna put an extra Leupold on it, just got to see if I have extra rings around the house. Whoever had this didn’t even put the mounts on correct

Looks like that scope comes with those rings. All for a whopping $28.

    Must be a doozy!

Looks like a big improvement already.
Now how are you going to get the bolts swapped onto the proper side of those rifles?
