    Scope rings? What brand?

Got the 110 brush hunter 338....I’m in the barrel nut brotherhood!

now I need some 1” rings for a 42mm scope. Does anyone make a ring that will screw straight to the reciver? If not what do y’all use on your 110’s
    thanks
    James

Talleys are one piece. I convert all my rifles to them now, when a scope gets replaced.

I like Warne steel rings . . . but they still have a seperate (steel) base for the rings.

Burris Signature Zee rings with Weaver Grand Slam steel (S402, S46) or Burris Tactical Xtreme bases are not one piece, but the most flexible scope mounts I’ve found for a Savage action.

I like the Talley 1 piece lightweights. (It's my first choice so far)

the other one I was looking at was the DNZ 1piece ring(the one that has both rings connected). Anyone use the DNZ?
    thanks

Not one piece, but the Leupold dual dovetails are a super tough setup.

I agree with big honkin jeep & jpdown. Both windage adjustable mounts are commonly used to get windage centered on any scope used. The Sig see mounts will also give elevation adjustability if desired. I have several sets of both. They will help get the most out of your scope.

The Leupold also come as one piece base.

I've not had to lap Talley one piece. Unlike Leupold dovetails and other Leupold rings. Not being disrespectful to Leupold votes. Just my experience.

And the Talley one piece are clean. I orient them so both rings are facing center or facing away. I don't like them mixed.

Talley are very popular. I've noticed that Leupold now has their version (albeit more expensive) of the Talley rings - they call them backcountry rings.

Check out the Hunt Masters from DNZ Products. Very nice ring and super light as well.

That said, given you have a long action you might want to check the length of your scope to make sure its mounting area is long enough to work with the setup you want. With todays shorter scopes you typically have to run a 1pc. Weaver or Picatinney rail to let you place the rings where you need them.

DNZ game reapers on both savages. No complaints. I like one piece mounts for ease in scope mounting.

Question about the Talley one piece rings... I currently have a 20MOA rail for long distance shooting. I'd like to get rid of that and go with these Talley's but I don't see any 20MOA versions. Is there even such a thing?

I don’t think so. The 20moa angle would need to be machined into rings with both height and angle of tube. The rings would be specific for front and rear also. A rail is easy because it lines rings up in the same plane with each other.
