Painted my 110 Desert Tactical 6.5 Creedmoor

I love everything about the Accufit/Accustock except the way it looks. So... I painted it. A coat of Rust-Oleum Primer, a few coats of Rust-Oleum American Accents Stone textured finish in gray, a few coats of Rust-Oleum Matte clear coat and done! Much better. :)

good job. I paint all my plastic stocks with Rustoleum Multicolored Textured paint. It makes a huge difference. My new Axis stock is about to get shot this weekend!

Thanks and I agree... it does make a huge difference... cosmetically speaking. One more advantage I didn't realize until I actually did the paint job was the added grip I now have on the rifle. The Rustoleum stone finish is a textured finish. Kinda like non-skid. I was a little worried at first that it would be too rough, but it's not. Best "upgrade" I've done on a rifle for around $20 in supplies and an hour of my time. Now I'm reconsidering the need for a Boyd's stock! I may still get one when I'm ready to put in the work to glass bed and pillar it but I don't feel like I need to do it tomorrow now.

What kind of prep did you do to the stock prior to spraying it?

Wonder if the Rustoleum could be used to cover up the baby poop yellow on the Stealth Evolution??

Just wiped it down with some cleaner and taped off the areas I didn't want paint. That's all!

Do me a favor, and after you have been out shooting for awhile, update this post and let us know how they paint continues to adhere. I have the grey stock that came on my LH Tactical, but really wanted it black. Evidently that was not an option. I emailed CS and asked if my dealer could order it that way, and got no response. I may be following your lead and paint mine if it holds up ok

I've been out shooting several times since painting it. Several hundred rounds. Paint is holding up excellent. Not really an issue though because it would be easy to touch up if and when needed. I still have plenty of paint left since the original paint job! :)
