    Scope base options

I have recently finished my first savage re barrel. I chose a 1-11 CBI CHAMBERED IN 20practical. I bedded the action in a boyds thumbhole stock and it looks classy. I was hoping for a 2pc mounting system preferably leupold. But I don't like the way the rear base over hangs the reciever. I'd like to ask what most of you folks are using on your model 10s. I'm trying hard to avoid the tactical look of picatinny rails. Thank you in advance for your suggestions

I have used the 2-piece weaver mounts on my Axis chambered in 22-250... However, I have a pretty long scope (Redfield TAC-MOA 6-18x44). I just barely have enough "play" to set my eye relief. Both of my long action rifles have 1 piece Picatinny rails, which I have come to prefer.

DNZ Products GameReaper (1-pc) or Hunt Master (2-pc). Extremely lightweight, CNC machined from billet and while not what I'd consider cheap they're not terribly expensive either.

I like Leupold products in general. I do like the quality of their rings/bases but dislike the overhang too, it didn’t affect function of the rifles but it didnt look aesthetically pleasing to me.
I think I have several sets of Leupold stainless bases rings, new in the package. As well as 1 set that was on a rifle. All are stainless if anyone is looking for a set.

I ended up switching to Picatinny rails and weaver style bases. I think I like the Warne steel weaver style bases the best.

Weaver Grand Slam steel bases (405s, 46s) and Burris Signature Zee rings give a nice, clean classic look.

Here they are in place. With Warne steel rings. I think it's a clean and strong design.

These are my favorite. I have them on a muzzle loader, 10 PC carbine .223 and Predator Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor.
