6.5 grendel with 308 bolt head

Debating on going with a grendel for a rebarel on a savage of mine. I've read if people getting away with using the grendel with the standard 308 bolt face. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

I understand the correct bolt face is the ppc bolt face. I had just hurd the 308 bolt face can work also and I was just seeing if anyone has real world experience. If I have to go to ptg for a bolt head I will just pick a different caliber.
