I put a Boyd's Pro Varmint on my Axis HB in .223. Shoots well. If you want a 110 action then maybe a 12FV from Cabela's and then add a Boyd's stock?
Looking to add a bolt action rifle in .223 as an in between for varmints. I am partial to stocks such as Boyd's Varmint/Hunter as they fit my long reach and large hands. Bull barrel and detachable mag are about all I think I need . Would like to stay around $600 or less. Savage has me so confused that I know not what to look for. Any suggestions?

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Hog hunter can be picked up for cheap from time to time. 20” heavy barrel
I would do a 12fv, find a magazine and BM that fits your needs.
