You shouldn't have any problems with it that I'm aware of. It should have the good three screw trigger that is adjustable.
Looking at a used one, built in 1988 or so. Anything to be especially aware of for this year of manufacture. I know that sometimes companies have "good years" and "bad years," so just want to be sure I am not picking one from the latter. Thanks

That's a bad year....run! 1988 was the peak of their darkest days.

Meaning what? Are there certain years where there were quality or manufacturing problems? If so, what were those years?
Yes, there were years where quality took a back seat. From 1986 to 1992 they put a lot of garbage out, with 1988 being the worst. Nothing much improved until 1995. The best actions were made starting in 2010.

Thank you. I changed direction and found a wood-stocked 110 in .243 built in 1998 online (according to the serial number chart on the forum.) We'll hope for the best. I will advise when I get it.
