Does Marlin x7 rifle have the same barrel threads/nuts as a Savage small shank?

JUst wondering, i know where there is some brand new long actions, complete guns, 30/06 new in the box for dirt cheap, thinking of picking them up for future builds, all feedback appreciated.

In a simple answer, yes. The chamber depth is slightly differing.

I believe that the savage utilizes a slightly deeper bolt face than the marlin, hence a marlin barrel could potentially stop short of being properly headspaced by the bolt face and barrel making contact if using a marlin bbl on a savage. Maybe I have it 180 degrees off, possibly it’s the marlin with a more recessed bolt face. Either way.

I can't explain the difference but I have mounted several different savage prefits on a marlin with no problems
