Savage 40 & 45 questions about the mag catches?

I am new to this forum this is my first posting here on this forum, is far from the last.

I need to ask some question to an owner of one of the Savage40 or 45 model rifles that has the first type magazine catches on them.

The type where the mag release is down next to the trigger guard not the one that is up in the middle side of the stock.
I have a rifle that I am in the planning stages that I want to restore I have these parts and they would be nice to use I think.
If you have one of these that is chambered for 30-30 that would be a plus too, I could use some good pictures of the magazine attachment that is inside the stock and what it bolts to..

    Many thanks
    Ron.

Those rifles are pretty rare birds these days. Probably have had less than a handful of posts about them that I can recall over the last 17 years, and most of those were just someone asking about date of manufacture.

Mad Dog, I tried to PM you and another guy that may have known but I don't have enough posts to do that yet.
I am in wonder of what the mag catch screws to in these guns and if the stock inletting is part of the control that allows the mag to go in at just the right place.
If there were any pictures would be a great help.
I do not have the stock but have the mags , the catch which has 5 parts that include 2 mounting screws and 1 spring and 2 metal parts
There is nothing on the internet , no pictures no videos of one disassembled nothing.
    Nice guns.

Hope this is what your looking for, just took them. Top one is from the bottom and the pic under that is looking down from the top. Yes I'd say it had 99% of how the mag fit from distance to the bolt picking up a shell.

Those are super pictures thank you very much , yes screwed right to the stock and hidden under the triggerguard.
Yes the inletting of the stock seems to be critical in the position of the magazine also.
Thank you very much that is exactly what I needed , rare photos indeed even for the internet.

Not a problem, guess I'll leave em up in case someone else ever needs them in the future.
