    Pre 1968 model 110 5 digit serial .243 HELP!?!

I am trying to re-barrel an old model 110 for my father as a Christmas gift. Problem is, I can’t find a barrel that is cut to fit the stock of his old rifle. The barrel is wider where the rear sight is, and because of that, the stock has a weird cut in it. I appreciate any help I can get. Sorry if this has been discussed before, I tried the search feature a few different ways with no results. Also, if I can figure out how to post a picture off of my phone I’ll do that as well.

You won't find a barrel to fit the stock on anybodies shelves, it also has a different breech cut than current production. That barrel will have to be custom made.
