Savage storm or tikka t3x compact

Would like some opinions on these 2 rifles in 7mm-08 or 6.5 creedmoor

I just picked up a t3x varmint 22-250 and can say just based on the smoothness of the action alone I will probably never buy another savage. Plus when I found out they make Tikka prefit, I am all about tikka.

+1 on the Tikka for smoothness and the prefit availability. However, I'll never rebarrel a Savage or manufactured rifle. I'll get an aftermarket custom action and build the rifle I want from there. As far as caliber recommendations, please tell us more about what you want to do with the rifle.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

The 110 storm I purchased in 223 remington has the accustock with accufit..and it is a tack driver. The stock is not flimsy. The trigger is 1 1/2 pounds and the rifle shoots 55 grain and 50, 52 grain 1/2 minute all the time. Am going to try some 62 grain loads tomorrow. 1 in 9 twist......this rifle is giving my friend and his remington 5R 700 223 nightmares......I own savages, remington 700's, Ruger M77's Tikka T3's........CZ's........I would put that savage storm next to ANY of those rifles in a match.

Had the Tikka in 308, recoil would punish! But, it was a smooth action well built rifle, and accurate. Current models are all long action I think, for all calibers?

My savage rifle and striker are older factory issue. Like them too, but the 7mm08 had to be returned to the factory. It wasn't right from the start.

Is 6.5 creedmore ammo found easily on the shelf? Around here have to go to a gun shop to find either and good luck too. Ammo, ammo, ammo: reloading is fun but if in a pinch, I need to find it to buy it.

Savage in a comparison is akin to an apple. The Tikka is like an orange being held by a very attractive woman sitting in a BMW wearing a mink stole.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

I'd rather have the apple, being held by a cute redneck gal in a pick up truck wearing Daisy Dukes....
